About 2.5 hours south west of Sacramento you'll find the picturesque beach town of Santa Cruz California. From the stunning beaches, to the vivacious Santa Cruz boardwalk, there is a little something here for everyone! A 15 minute drive down the road, you'll find yourself in the colorful little town of Capitola where the streets are filled with surf shops, the best eats and of course beachy souvenirs. One of my favorite laid back weekend getaways, and if you're looking for a place to stay, look no further then the Dream Inn. Located on the beach, you wake up to killer sunrises over the ocean, walking distance to the yummiest breakfast at The Picnic Basket, and casual eats at Ideal Bar & Grill, Jack O'Neill and of course a few blocks away from the boardwalk.
